Which format should I choose?
WebP for websites (smallest files), JPG for sharing photos anywhere, and PNG for logos, screenshots or anything with a transparent background.
Is it free?
Yes. Converting and downloading each image is free. Downloading everything as one ZIP unlocks after a short ad. Up to 10 images at once are free; a short ad unlocks bigger batches.
Will a PNG with a transparent background stay transparent?
Yes, if you convert to PNG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas become white.
Can I convert an animated GIF?
Only the first frame is converted, as a still image. Animation is not kept.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome and every modern browser, including HEIC photos straight from an iPhone. Very old browsers may not be able to save WebP; if so, we tell you and save a PNG or JPG instead.
