Frequently Asked Questions
What are the IR rates in Morocco for 2026?
The annual scale set by the 2025 Finance Law (still in force in 2026) is: up to 40,000 DH exempt, 10% from 40,001 to 60,000, 20% from 60,001 to 80,000, 30% from 80,001 to 100,000, 34% from 100,001 to 180,000 and 37% above 180,000 DH. Monthly payroll uses the same bands divided by 12.
How are frais professionnels worked out?
Employees deduct a flat allowance for employment expenses: 35% of gross taxable salary if it is 78,000 DH a year (6,500 DH a month) or less, otherwise 25% capped at 35,000 DH a year. Because the rate drops above 78,000 DH, net taxable income jumps at that point, and the calculator reproduces this rule as written in the tax code.
How much are CNSS and AMO?
You pay 4.48% to the CNSS for social benefits and pensions on salary up to 6,000 DH a month, plus 2.26% AMO health insurance on your whole salary. Both come off before IR is worked out. Your employer pays 8.98% CNSS (same ceiling), 6.40% family allowances, 4.11% AMO and 1.60% vocational training tax.
How does the family charges reduction work?
From 1 January 2026 the 2026 Finance Law gives a tax reduction of 600 DH a year per dependant (spouse and children as defined by the tax code), up to 3,600 DH for six dependants. In 2025 it was 500 DH per dependant, up to 3,000 DH. The reduction can only bring your IR down to zero.
Is this an official DGI calculator?
No. This is an estimate, not official tax advice. It uses the published DGI tax scale and CNSS rates, but exempt allowances, overtime, complementary pensions such as CIMR and your employer’s payroll can change the figure, so check your payslip or ask the DGI, CNSS or your HR department. The AMO and training tax rates were confirmed from secondary sources because the CNSS website could not be reached.
Does it work for monthly salaries?
Yes. Pick Monthly and enter your monthly figures. The calculation is done on the annual equivalent and divided by 12, which matches monthly payroll when your salary is the same every month.
