Frequently Asked Questions
What are the 2026 income tax brackets for salaries?
For wage income in 2026: 15% up to ₺190,000, 20% from ₺190,000 to ₺400,000, 27% from ₺400,000 to ₺1,500,000, 35% from ₺1,500,000 to ₺5,300,000 and 40% above. The brackets apply to your cumulative taxable income for the year, so the same gross salary can give a lower net pay in later months.
What is the minimum wage in 2026?
The gross minimum wage for 2026 is ₺33,030 a month, which is ₺28,075.50 net. The income tax and stamp tax on the minimum wage part of every salary are exempt, which this calculator applies.
How much SGK is deducted?
Employees pay 14% SGK premium and 1% unemployment insurance on gross pay up to the 2026 ceiling of ₺297,270 a month. Employers pay 21.75% (pension, health and short-term insurance) plus 2% unemployment insurance, less a Treasury discount of 2 points (5 points in manufacturing).
Why is the net salary shown as an average?
Income tax in Türkiye is cumulative: as your yearly taxable income passes each bracket, the tax in later months goes up. This calculator works out the whole year and shows one twelfth of it per month, so your actual payslips will be higher early in the year and lower later.
What is not included?
Meal and transport exemptions, private pension (BES) auto-enrolment, bonuses paid in a single month, minimum wage support for employers, other SGK incentives and short-term insurance rates other than 2.25% are not modelled. The 0.759% stamp tax rate is the long-standing statutory rate but could not be re-checked online for this update.
Is this an official calculator?
No. This is an estimate, not tax advice. It uses the 2026 rates published in the Resmî Gazete and by SGK, but your payroll can differ, so check your payslip or ask GİB, SGK or your accountant.
